About Patrick Kelly

“Show me the Project, Show me Respect, We’ll get it done”

Patrick Kelly

I’ve been described as a “Jack of all trades”. A phrase that may be frowned upon in our society today, but a title I wear with honor. There are very few things that I can’t at least give a useful prospective on if not handle personally. Need something designed, built, managed, or marketed? I can typically do it myself, help you find the right person for the job or at least be a sounding board to put you on a path to success.

I found a love for the arts in elementary school. I found that it was my performing arts classes and the people I would meet through them that kept me returning to school each day. A guiding star pushing leading me down an educational path that would culminate in a theatre performance degree from San Diego State University in 2007.

Following school my life consisted of working in production roles or performing onstage while maintaining fulltime jobs to pay the rent. In 2010 I banded together with other outsider theater artists to form the theater company “Circle Circle Dot Dot” in which I held the positions of managing and technical director for 7 years. This whirlwind through my 20’s left me with a wide variety of experiences that made me a well rounded artist and event producer with an impenetrable work ethic.

In 2017 I switched paths from the non-profit arts and box offices to the world of corporate events. Taking the position of Production Manager for a small firm out of San Diego I managed a warehouse and staff producing scenic and lighting elements for large conferences and high end private events throughout the United States. This amazing experience elevated my design and management skills to the next level in amazing ways.

When Covid shut down the events industry I turned my focus onto solo songwriting and carpentry to keep my hands busy throughout those chaotic times. I also traveled throughout the United States for several months to get a better understanding of our great country and myself. As we return to “normal” I have turned toward freelance work in production for events of all shapes and sizes. From traditional conference setups to festivals to high-end promo activations. I am truly blessed to have found myself in this new chapter filled with creative and compelling work.

I’m always looking for new and interesting opportunities to help productions and utilize my vast range of skills. Below you will find my resume which will paint a more complete picture of my experience in various fields.
